Visit CETIM – PIMATECH

CETIM opens its doors to us for a visit focused on companies in the mechanical engineering and industrial sectors.

The Technical Center for Mechanical Industries (CETIM) is a French industrial technical center established in 1965 at the initiative of the mechanical engineering industry. Its mission is to support companies in strengthening their competitiveness by providing technical expertise, testing facilities, and innovative technological solutions. CETIM also plays a key role in standardization activities and in transferring scientific research advances into industrial applications.

60 Years of Innovation Serving French Industry

CETIM reaffirms its longstanding commitment to a French industry that is more competitive, resilient, and sovereign. Since 1966, it has supported companies through major industrial transformations—including the energy transition, digital transformation, and technological advancement—by turning global challenges into opportunities for action and innovation. As the technical and technological pillar of Mecallians, CETIM continues its mission with the same level of commitment: anticipating future challenges, securing industrial developments, and strengthening France’s industrial capabilities for the years ahead.

CETIM: A Technological Accelerator for Industrial Transformation

The Centre brings the best of research to French manufacturers and provides a comprehensive range of consulting and engineering services. As a co-founder of Mecallians, which brings together the full strength of the French mechanical engineering industry, a Carnot-certified institute and a member of the Technical Industrial Centres (CTI) network, CETIM relies on more than 1,100 experts, researchers, engineers and technicians. In France and internationally, they support the transformation of the manufacturing ecosystem, helping to build a more sovereign, sustainable and positive industry capable of meeting the major energy and environmental challenges of our time.

Accredited with the EESPIG label (Private Higher Education Institution of General Interest), UniLaSalle is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles, and its engineering programs are accredited by the CTI (Engineering Degree Commission). UniLaSalle is also part of the global La Salle educational network, which includes 72 universities, and collaborates with 260 partner universities abroad. Today, the institution has 4,000 students, supported by 632 staff members, including 180 teacher-researchers, 40 PhD students, and a network of 27,000 alumni.
